Job Description:
We are seeking a Ministry Associate-Youth and Worship to join our dynamic team and contribute to the spiritual growth and well-being of our interdenominational congregation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturing the youth, expanding our music program, and providing support to the pastor in various pastoral duties. This is a unique position combining both youth and worship leadership roles and is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Build and Lead Youth Fellowship Program: Develop and oversee engaging programs and activities tailored to the spiritual and social needs of our youth community. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where young individuals can grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships. Develop, resource, and lead a team of volunteers.
- Enhance Music Program: Collaborate with the worship team to enhance the quality and diversity of our music program. Explore innovative ways to incorporate music into worship services and special events.
- Collaborate with Church Leadership: Work closely with the pastor, church staff, and leadership team to implement the church's vision, goals, and initiatives. Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and ministry coordination efforts.
- Assist the Pastor in His Absence: Occasionally lead worship services, conduct pastoral care visits, and address urgent pastoral matters in the absence of the senior pastor. Maintain continuity and support for the congregation during the pastor's absence.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Flexibility and adaptability are essential as the Ministry Associate may need to be available to assist with various church activities, events, and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to articulate and model a strong personal faith to youth and congregation.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous experience working in pastoral ministry, youth ministry, or music ministry desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to lead, develop, and grow teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in vocally and/or instrumentally leading worship.
- Demonstrated servant leadership abilities.
