11:00 am:  FLORENCE SHEN VISITATION.  An opportunity to visit with the family before we gather to celebrate Florence Shen's life.
12:00 pm:  FLORENCE SHEN CELEBRATION OF LIFE.  We gather in the sanctuary to celebrate the 85-year life of our beloved daughter in Christ, Florence Shen, who went home with her Savior and Lord early Friday morning, August 18.  Florence's obituary is available here.

Sunday, August 27 – Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost; KICKOFF SUNDAY

9:30 amCarry-in BreakfastNo Sunday School Classes Today!  Join us in Trimmer Hall during our regular Sunday School hour to enjoy a fellowship breakfast and learn what your classes will be studying.  You're invited to bring food to share; see the sign-up sheet at Servant Central.
10:30 am – Worship.  About her message for us from Isaiah 51:1-6, Listen & Look, Rev. Mia Smith writes:  God calls us to listen carefully to the lessons shared by the great ancestors of our faith so they can provide guidance for our current faith journey.  We are called look beyond ourselves, to seek God's guidance and to speak His word, which can bring light into the darkest places of the world. 
10:45 amWorship and Wonder.  Children pre-K through second grade meet in room 8.
11:30 amCoffee Time.  After worship, wander down to Trimmer Hall for coffee, cookies & fellowship.

Monday, August 28

1:30 pm:  MEDITATION GROUP.  Our Christian meditation group meets in the Parlor.
